One image of your whole site.Measurable, and to scale.
Hundreds of aerial photos stitched into a single geo referenced map you can measure, mark up and drop straight into your GIS or design software.
44,000+ pilots nationwide
No lock-in, ever
A photo shows you the site. An orthomosaic lets you work on it.
A regular aerial photo is taken from one point, so everything away from the centre leans, and nothing in it can be measured reliably. Useful for a brochure, useless for a decision.
An orthomosaic corrects that. Hundreds of overlapping images are stitched and geometrically corrected so every pixel sits in its true position. The result is a single current, accurate map of your site that you can measure distances and areas on, and overlay against your design.

From flight plan to finished orthomosaic, start to finish.
What it gets used for.
Construction progress
A current site map every month, compared against the last one and against the design. Ends the argument about what was built when.
Land and development
Existing conditions across a parcel before design starts, at a fraction of the cost of a full ground survey.
Agriculture
Whole of property mapping for planning, fencing, water infrastructure and paddock management.
Quarries and stockpiles
Surface mapping and volume calculation without putting a surveyor on the face.
Councils and asset owners
Current imagery of parks, facilities and land holdings, updated when you need it rather than when the satellite passes.
Environmental monitoring
Vegetation extent, erosion, rehabilitation progress, tracked with comparable captures over time.
What you get, and what you can do with it.
- Geo referenced orthomosaic as GeoTIFF, ready for ESRI, QGIS, Bentley, Civil 3D or anything else that reads spatial data.
- Digital surface model the height of everything on site, for volumes and drainage.
- Contours at your nominated interval, delivered as DXF or SHP.
- Ground resolution stated so you know exactly what you can and cannot measure from it.
- Your datum GDA2020 or the MGA zone you work in. We will not hand you something in the wrong projection.
- A capture report covering flight parameters, conditions and any limitation worth knowing about.

A pilot flies the grid
Systematic overlapping capture, processed and delivered ready to use.

| Job | What it covers | From |
|---|---|---|
| Up to 5 hectares | Single site, development block, small property. | $450 |
| 5 to 25 hectares | Subdivision, industrial site, larger property. | $1,100 |
| 25 to 100 hectares | Large development, farm, quarry or mine site area. | $2,400 |
| Recurring capture | Monthly or milestone based progress mapping. | Quoted |
Prices are capture and standard processing. Ground control points for survey grade accuracy are priced as an addition, because not every job needs them. Remote sites may carry travel, shown separately.

What we will tell you before you order.
It maps the top, not the ground
Photogrammetry sees the surface it can see. Under tree canopy or dense scrub it maps the canopy, not the earth. If you need true ground surface, you want LiDAR instead and we will say so.
Featureless surfaces are hard
Large expanses of water, fresh snow or uniform sand give the stitching algorithm nothing to lock onto. Results degrade. We will flag it before flying.
Accuracy depends on control
Without ground control points, expect relative accuracy that is good for planning but not for legal survey. Tell us the standard you need to meet before we fly.
Very large areas
Beyond a few hundred hectares, a crewed aircraft is often cheaper and faster. We will tell you when that is the better answer.
The things people actually ask.
How much does drone mapping cost in Australia?
Aerologix orthomosaic mapping starts from $450 for sites up to five hectares, around $1,100 from five to twenty five hectares, and around $2,400 from twenty five to one hundred hectares. Recurring progress capture is quoted. Draw your actual site in Order Studio for a price in seconds, free and with no obligation.
What is the difference between an orthomosaic and an aerial photo?
An aerial photo is taken from a single point, so objects away from the centre lean and nothing can be measured reliably. An orthomosaic stitches hundreds of overlapping images and geometrically corrects them, so every pixel sits in its true position and you can measure distances and areas directly.
Should I order an orthomosaic or LiDAR?
Choose an orthomosaic when the surface is open and you need to see and measure it. Choose LiDAR when you need genuine ground surface under vegetation, thin structures such as powerlines, or higher terrain accuracy. LiDAR starts from $1,600, so if photogrammetry answers your question it is the better value option.
What file formats do you deliver?
Geo referenced GeoTIFF for the orthomosaic, digital surface model, and contours as DXF or SHP, in GDA2020 or your required MGA zone. Data can be delivered into ESRI, Bentley, DroneDeploy, Pix4D, your own storage, or the Aerologix portal.
Can you map the same site every month?
Yes, and this is one of the most common orders. Repeat captures flown the same way are directly comparable, which is what makes progress tracking and volume change measurement meaningful.
