LiDAR, which stands for Light Detection and Ranging, is a remote sensing method that utilises a laser pulse to determine and measure variable distances to terrain through the use of an Aerologix airborne surveying aircraft, equipped with a LiDAR capable payload. Combined with other geospatial data collected from the onboard sensors, Aerologix is able to construct precise three dimensional point cloud models and extrapolate information about structures and surrounding terrestrial characteristics. From this data, Aerologix is able to provide clients with highly accurate and detailed point cloud model of structures, terrain and critical infrastructure, in a cost effective and timely manner.
