Drone delivery in Australia is real but it is tightly bounded by airspace approvals, beyond visual line of sight rules and payload limits. Anyone telling you it is a simple on-demand service today is selling you something.
What we are building is the ordering layer for it, so that when a route is approved and an operator is available, you can price and book it the same way you book a capture today.

No. It is in development and this page is honest about that. Every other product in Order Studio is live and orderable right now.
What is actually holding it up?
Airspace and beyond visual line of sight approvals, which are granted per route and per operator. That is a regulatory process, not a software one.
What payload will it carry?
Modest. Parts, samples, documents and consumables rather than freight. Exact limits will depend on the aircraft and the approved route.
How do I find out when it opens?
